Fiona Firth

Fiona Firth (née Firth-Spiller) has always sung, joining her first vocal ensemble aged five, she is the founder and managing director of Singers4all.  Fiona, F.T.C.L., L.T.C.L. trained as a Soprano at Trinity College and Guildhall School of Music and as a post-graduate at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorio in Milan.   During her studies she won a number of vocal prizes and bursaries including a Countess of Munster Scholarship.  As a recitalist and soloist she performs with choral societies at festivals both in the UK and abroad.  For the British Council Fiona has given recitals at several British Embassies in Europe and further concerts for them in Potsdam, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, The Hague and Brussels.

She has toured with choirs in Germany, and in London and has appeared at many London venues including The Royal Festival Hall, The Barbican, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Purcell Room, St. John's Smith Square, and St Martin-in-the-Fields.  She has recorded for BBC Radio and has given the British premieres of works by Gian Carlo Menotti, Johann Mayr and Ernestus de Dohnányi. 

Fiona has undertaken corporate engagements for firms such as British Telecom and British Petroleum appearing at such venues as Goodwood and The Banqueting Hall in Whitehall. 

Operatically she has worked at the Bayreuth Wagner Festival, where she has performed Erste Blumenmädchen (Parsifal) and Erste Edelknaben (Lohengrin) conducted by Giuseppe Sinopoli, Frankfurt and at the Lippstadt Festival, Germany.

In the UK she has worked at English National Opera and appeared with, amongst others, British Youth Opera, Opera Box, London Opera Players, New Sussex Opera, Travelling Opera and Jigsaw Music Theatre touring in the UK and also in France. 

Alongside her singing career she has become a highly respected singing teacher, with students appearing in opera houses around Europe.  A number of her gifted students are singer-songwriters and exponents of jazz and music theatre.

She has recently been appointed as a Singing Leader for Sing Up, the Government-funded singing programme working with children.  Fiona is the Musical Director of the Singers4all choirs.
